|   There are ten species in this family. They are very small birds with medium to long tails.  They are found in Europe and Asia and  live in woodlands. Five species are native to the Himalayas and mountains of China. The long-tailed tit is found from Europe through Asia.  The bushtit  is the only species in this family that is found in North America. It is found on the Pacific Coast from Southern Canada to Central America.
